There is a lot of shakeup in the NFL and fantasy.
I want to give you practical fantasy football help today, so you can stay a successful course in getting to the top of your league.
If you have not already made your waiver wire claims in season long fantasy football, here are the top options out there in most leagues as of today’s writing. These may apply towards 10 man leagues. After your waivers have cleared here on wednesday these guys could very well be left.
You probably will need the help with NFL bye weeks going in full motion this week. This includes: Bengals, Cardinals, Colts, Eagles, Giants, Jaguars
Free Agent Players as of 10/31/18
subject to change up until kickoff
QB: Andy Dalton: Yes as the #1 option for week 10 and beyond he may be worth stashing with the only tough game being at the Ravens in week 11
Alex Smith: With an easy game for week 9 vs. Atlanta, Smith is a good plug and play for this coming week only. Try to stack him with Jordan Reed if available as well.
If you have no other option, Joe Flacco should be there vs. and easier matchup this week vs. Pittsburgh, even though its a division game.
At Running Back:
Good luck as there are few options here. You may want to check your team and see what you have to offer in a trade unless breaking injury news comes about.
RB: Duke Johnson As the mentioned shake up in coaching change, we could finally receive what was advertised in his signing to a contract this year, to more results on the field, as the play calling should change for the better.
Darren Sproles/Wendell Smallwood: While this isn’t much of an option, the following weeks will help us see which guys will get the most touches and touchdown opportunities moving forward as this will change from week to week, as the eagles get no trade done before the deadline.
Chris Godwin: If you happen to have gotten Ryan Fitzpatrick from waivers already, this could still be a great stack play for you. As M. Evans gets the outside to deep routes, along with D-Jax, and Godwin getting a lot of mid range looks from Fitz.
Calvin Ridley: Don’t sleep a WR2//3 on the Atlanta team that poses heaving offensive targets, and gives them up, calling for great high scoring games coming up the 2nd half.
Christian Kirk: Yes surprisingly, Kirk along with Ridley, these rookie WR’s are still free agents in your league, so get Kirk if still needing someone, as he is a great deep threat, being behind in games, for Josh Rosen.
Effects of Trades in NFL:
D. Thomas to the Texans
If you happened to have picked up Keke Coutee in a league, you now have to contend with D. Thomas from the broncos. Bad news for Coutee Hype, which was well deserved before this. Courtland Sutton gets his opportunity.
Ty Montgomery to the Ravens.
This trade will minimally impact the Packers fantasy players, however largely now effecting the Ravens offense, as it appears they were looking to replace Danny Woodhead, Alex Collins owners are now looking for any other options.
Golden Tate to the Eagles:
Tate is largely affected, as no longer is he the #1 option for Matt Stafford, but now is the #2 or 3 option for Carson Wentz. The QB is not a drop off but the offense is. Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay owners rejoice.
The reboot for the browns will be interesting even more so the the Cardinals OC change. We should see different splits to get this team on a winning track, and I would expect Mayfeild’s development to be the key. Look for things to open up a bit for Jarvis Landry, Antonio Calloway, and David Njoku, along with Duke Johnson as mentioned.
